It explains how the Lord expects more of His people than just believing in Him – our faith must be put into practice. Putting faith into practice will affect every area of our lives – how we handle trials and temptations, how we treat others, how we plan for the future, and more. All of these are discussed in James’ epistle.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Digital Materials Now Available

Over the last few months, we have been working on getting some of our books available in digital format. We are happy to announce that all of our Plain Bible Study Guides are now available for download, as well as our material on Social Issues.

For each one of these books, you can get either a Single User license or a Congregational Use license, depending on your needs. The Single User license allows you to store and use the file on any of your personal devices or print the material for personal use. The Congregational Use license allows a congregation (or other study group) to share the digital file with its members and make multiple printed copies for use in class, making it a great option for Bible classes and other groups.

Check out the list of materials that are currently available as digital downloads. Over the next few months we will be adding more titles to this list, so watch for those as well.

The Gospel of John

The gospel of John discusses the life of Jesus, including His teaching, miracles, crucifixion, and resurrection. However, John focuses on certain events that are not recorded in the “synoptic gospels” (Matthew, Mark, and Luke), giving us a more complete picture of Jesus. It is designed to produce or strengthen faith in Jesus as the Son of God. Knowing who Jesus is, why He came to earth, what He expects of His followers, and where He is today is essential if we are to be one of His disciples.

The Book of Leviticus

The overall theme of the book of Leviticus is holiness. To be holy is to be set apart for God’s purpose. The instructions about sacrifices, the priesthood, sin, cleanliness, and so on, were all based upon the idea of God’s people being holy as He is holy. Even though we are not living under the same law, there is much to learn from Leviticus. In it we see God’s expectations of holiness for His people and a foreshadowing of the perfect sacrifice of Christ.

This book was originally published over 40 years ago. Yet the need it addresses – quality Bible classes – is the same today as it was then.
