NEW RELEASE: The Voice of the Pioneers on Instrumental Music and Societies

We would like to announce our newest title – The Voice of the Pioneers on Instrumental Music and Societies by John T. Lewis – is now available.

The Voice of the Pioneers (cover)John T. Lewis (1876-1967) graduated from Nashville Bible School in 1906. Following that, he spent sixty years in Birmingham, Alabama where he preached the gospel and helped establish churches throughout that area.

In Voice of the Pioneers, Lewis addressed the two issues that caused the greatest controversy among those in the Restoration Movement – instrumental music and the missionary society. While he does present Biblical arguments against such innovations, the primary focus of the book is on what was taught by the pioneers of the nineteenth century. This makes it a valuable resource for us to learn about the history of the Restoration Movement.

TWO NEW RELEASES: Great Themes from Acts, Solid Food

We are excited to announce the release of TWO new titles by Tom M. Roberts – Great Themes from Acts and Solid Food: Delving into the Meat of the Word on Various Topics.

Great Themes from Acts (cover)Great Themes from Acts

The book of Acts contains a history of the early church and the work of the apostles to carry out the Great Commission. In it, Luke recorded the beginning of God’s scheme of redemption being fulfilled. Therefore, it is vital for us to have an understanding of the book of Acts in order to know how to be saved and how to live as citizens of God’s kingdom.

Great Themes from Acts explores some of the principal topics covered in the book. Each lesson covers a different theme, including Great Commission preaching, the kingdom of God, salvation, the Holy Spirit, and how the gospel confronts a world of sin. This material also contains questions at the end of each lesson to aid in personal and group Bible studies.

Solid Food

Solid Food (cover)In nearly seventy years of full-time gospel preaching, Tom M. Roberts has addressed various challenging topics that went beyond the fundamental principles of the gospel (the “milk” of the word) and required a deeper study of the Scriptures (the “meat” of the word). Addressing such topics is the task of all gospel preachers in fulfilling their responsibility to declare the whole counsel of God (Acts 20:27); unfortunately, too many avoid these difficult and sometimes controversial topics. Brother Roberts has certainly not been one to do this.

The content of this book, as well as the name (Solid Food), was taken from a series of articles written by brother Roberts in Watchman Magazine from 1998 to 1999. In these articles, he delved into some difficult and/or controversial passages and topics in order to help growing Christians understand the “meat” of the word. This collection is a timeless resource that will help brethren of this generation and beyond to develop an understanding of the truth on the topics addressed.

For a limited time, these books are available for 10% off the regular price.
