The local church has been designed by the Lord to be a self-edifying body with one generation teaching the next and so on (Ephesians 4:16; 2 Timothy 2:2). Therefore, one of the factors that determines the long-term health of a congregation is the effectiveness of the Bible classes it conducts.
In Success at Bible Teaching, authors Sam Binkley, Jr. and Martin M. Broadwell discuss the need for Christians to develop the ability to teach others, how the Bible can be used as a teacher-training manual, principles of learning, teaching techniques, and how to teach various age groups. With the emphasis that the Bible places upon teaching, every Christian should want to be a teacher and should want to be the best teacher possible.
This book was originally published over 40 years ago. Yet the need it addresses – quality Bible classes – is the same today as it was then. The material contained in it is just as useful for the current generation. Therefore, we are pleased to be able to make Success at Bible Teaching available in print once again.
