The Winner of Our Drawing is…

Before announcing the winner of our drawing, I first want to thank all of you who participated in the survey. I received a number of submissions in which you offered your own suggestions. Your taking time to thoughtfully consider this and offer your ideas is very much appreciated.

As far as the selections for a subtitle for The Great Conspiracy, the winner was “Other.” Based upon the good feedback I received, I will be using a subtitle that includes some of the ideas that were submitted. I don’t have that finalized yet, but plan to announce the complete title of the book next week.

But for now, it is time to announce the winner of our drawing. The winner is… Donna!

Congratulations, Donna! You will receive our two books, The Great Conspiracy, and The Root of the Problem: Why We Sin & How We Can Overcome.

Thanks again to everyone who participated. Be sure to stay up to date on news from Gospel Armory, including information about when The Great Conspiracy will be available, by signing up for our newsletter – just enter your address in the box in the sidebar. Help Us Name Our Next Book

Gospel Armory is getting set to release a new book and we’re looking for input regarding the title. As a token of appreciation for your help, we’re offering you a chance to win two free books, just for filling out the short survey below.

About the Book

The new book deals with the topic of salvation, contrasting the difference between what the Bible says and what man often says in response to the important question: “What must I do to be saved?” The majority of the book is devoted to the topic of baptism as this is often the point of contention with many in the religious world.

The title of the book – The Great Conspiracy – was chosen to emphasize the fact that Satan and his ministers are busy working against us, even though we may believe in Christ and are seeking salvation.

We are looking for feedback as we decide on a subtitle for the book. Four possibilities are listed below. You can choose one of these or suggest your own. An email address is required to be entered to win.

So what can you win? Among those who complete this survey, one winner will be chosen at random to win two books: The Great Conspiracy, and a previously released book, The Root of the Problem: Why We Sin & How We Can Overcome. All you have to do is submit the form below to be entered. The drawing is open to U.S. residents only.

Entries must be received by 11:59pm CDT on Thursday, March 29th. A winner will be announced on Friday, March 30.

Thanks for your feedback.

Voting is now closed. Check back for updates.

Official Release: “Early History of the Disciples in the Western Reserve”

Today is the official release date for our latest title – Early History of the Disciples in the Western Reserve by Amos S. Hayden.

Early History of the Disciples in the Western Reserve (Hayden) - coverThe Restoration Movement was an exciting period when a large number of religious people began to awaken to the truth that one could serve God apart from the churches and creeds of men. They sought to “restore” the New Testament church and pattern.

Some got closer than others. It took time for some denominational practices and beliefs to be abandoned. But it is encouraging to read of those who worked to “unite all the disciples of Jesus in one church, with the Bible as the only authoritative standard of faith and practice” (Early History of the Disciples, p. 19).

This book contains many valuable lessons from those connected with this Restoration effort, focusing on the region of Northeast Ohio, known at that time as the Western Reserve.

B. C. Goodpasture, in his foreword to Earl Irvin West’s Search for the Ancient Order, listed Early History of the Disciples in the Western Reserve, along side Robert Richardson’s Memoirs of Alexander Campbell, as a principle source of Restoration history. If you do not have a copy of Hayden’s book, it is a good reference to have in your library.
