NEW RELEASE: Civil Government

Civil Government (Lipscomb)We would like to announce our newest title – Civil Government: Its Origin, Mission, and Destiny, and the Christian’s Relation to It by David Lipscomb – is now available. This is a reprint of a public domain book that has been out of print. It was originally published in the Gospel Advocate in 1866-1867.

Lipscomb was one of the most influential preachers in the South through his work as the editor of the Gospel Advocate. He saw brethren dividing over various issues – including the American Civil War – and appealed for unity among brethren in the kingdom of God. His teaching in Civil Government challenged the popularly held views of brethren in his day and will do the same today. It is worthy of careful consideration.

This is the fifth release in our Ancient Landmarks Collection. This collection is made up of materials that have been produced by those associated with the Restoration Movement. More titles will be added to this collection in the future. Be sure to subscribe to our mailing list to be notified of new releases.

[Note: When you subscribe to our mailing list, you will also receive a free ebook – The Foundation for a Godly Society.]

Civil Government is a thought-provoking examination of what the Bible teaches about civil government and how it applies to the Christian. Read more about the book and purchase your copy today!
